Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) based on a sequence isolated from pineal gland extract.
Research has examined epitalon in relation to telomerase activity and telomere length in cell culture, circadian and melatonin regulation, and markers associated with cellular ageing. Much of the available literature consists of preclinical and small-scale studies.
