Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of tuftsin, an endogenous immunomodulatory peptide, extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence to improve stability.

Studies have examined selank in relation to GABAergic and serotonergic signalling, expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and anxiolytic activity in preclinical and Russian clinical literature. Published work reports an absence of the sedation and dependence associated with benzodiazepine anxiolytics.
